Annual Irish Festival

Nina and Papa (and Dave Sims!) joined us for the first time ever at the Irish festival. The kids loved their unlimited bounce house passes and the weather was perfect for an evening outside. The big find was a headpiece for Cadie's upcoming Cleopatra monologue for the living wax museum project. We missed the Walsh clan, but it was a busy weekend for most folks so we will catch them next year.

Quarter 1 Volunteer Day: Bonton Farms

My new year's resolution was to do a family volunteer activity once a quarter in 2018. Our first quarter service day was at Bonton Farms and it was a success! It was just Cadie, Colton and me because JR was skiing with Eric and Anna in Seattle. But, MJ and her son, Carter, came with us and we saw some other folks from Southwest there!

We worked mostly in the chicken coop, but Colton also filled up the water trough and buckets for the goats. Cadie got a cut on her side towards the end of the day from a metal part sticking out of a fence. But, other than that one injury, it was a success.
