This handsome man melts my heart! He grins every time he sees us and makes the most sweet cooing noises. He has just this past week started to go about 7 hours at a time between feedings at night. Although, he likes to keep us on our feet and throw in a few surprise wake-ups here and there. Overall, though, I think we have turned the corner and will be able to start getting a more reasonable amount of sleep. The next sleep-related transition will be to get him into his own room because he is still in the swing or in our bed. He is SOOO wonderfully cuddly and warm and he and I both sleep well in our bed together.

Princess Cadence

She loves her tu-tu from Nana which she got for Christmas and is currently refusing to take it off. She is sleeping in it as I type this. She also loves her lady-bug from Mimi which is a music box that plays "You are my sunshine" and says "Granddaughter, you are cute as a bug" on the inside. The jammies are from Aunt Becky and Uncle Steve. Cadence has quite the gift to be able to put all these items together to make such a lovely outfit :)

Good-bye Accenture, Hello PepsiCo

I just put my resignation in at Accenture today. Feels surreal. Ironically, today is also my 10-year anniversary with Accenture. Feels like a long time ago that I put on my little business suit and went to our offices downtown in the Bank of America building. I was SOOO nervous. I spent my first week in office orientation, then 3 weeks in Chicago at our St. Charles training facilities, than back to Dallas and onto a plane for the next two years working in San Antonio. My team in San Antonio was a dream team and those friendship and relationships have stuck with me and are the reason I was able to get my foot in the door for the position at PepsiCo. After San Antonio it was a year in Los Angeles, then a year in Atlanta, then time in Florida and then I started the International travel to India, the Philippines, etc. I have been places and done things I never dreamed possible. God has clearly laid out the path, Grant has always been my #1 fan, my family is my foundation and support, my Dad is ever-present with business advice, and my Mom is the ear I have needed when I lacked confidence or just needed to vent. Accenture has been there through the purchase of our first house, Grant's law school, our almost move to Vegas, Cadence's birth and now Jack Ranger. I have received an incredible amount of experience and am so very thankful for those that have helped me along my career path and I feel I can walk away proud of this chapter. Life marches on but I will never forget drinking games in San Antonio (maybe not my most proud moments), working on the back lot of Universal studios and walking into the theme park to catch a ride during lunch, red-eye flights every week for a year, seeing the Taj Majal, getting the chance to develop our team in Manila, sexual harassment from a few crazy clients, sleeping on the floor under a desk at Texas Instruments while we worked 24/7 during a go-live, scuba diving in the Philippines, having status at every major hotel chain, being violently ill at the airport in Delhi, and most of all the camaraderie developed while doing the mad things we do at Accenture. Good-bye.

Jack Ranger: 3 Months

Is he really already 3 months old? My little "smushy" is a wide awake little man who loves to track his sister everywhere she goes, cuddle, eat (he is a bottomless pit) and he just now has enough control to start enjoying his jumper and bumbo. He just grins and babbles when we eat with him as our baby centerpiece in the bumbo. I LOVE his little elf ears, his huge grins and the way he snuggles right into my arms.

Kansas City Christmas

Better late than never...

The kids and I were in Kansas City from Dec. 20-29 and then Grant joined us on the 24th and we all came home together. Even though we were there for 9 days, it was still too short! At least it was too short for me, I think my folks were a bit glad to have some peace and quiet restored after we left. Our time was filled with family, Christmas activities and laughter. I loved getting to introduce Jack Ranger to his Kansas family and Cadence loved playing/terrorizing her cousin Samuel.

Erin, Cadence, Great Grandmother Margaret (my Dad's Mom), Grant, Jack Ranger and Great Grandpa Weldon (my Dad's Dad). They made a special trip from Horton Kansas to visit with us.

My mom, Cadence and I visited Penguin City which is just a house with every single penguin and Christmas blow-up imaginable.

Cadence and my Mom always had a lot to talk about.
My Dad and Jack Ranger always had a lot to rest about :)
