White Water Rafting

Grant and Big John took Cadie and Jack Ranger white water rafting and they had a great time. Jack Ranger was nervous because he was under the impression that the rafting included going over a water fall. He was so excited to give us the full report when they got back - which included cold water and spotting a herd of mountain goats.

Horn Creek Colorado

This was a trip full of memories, family, adventure and enjoying God's beauty. It was incredible special to be together with the Chapman's, Gullickson's and Walshes'. We missed Nathan, Anna and Whitney, but the rest of us were all there! I love you all!

On Saturday, we drove to Amarillo with a car packed to the gills! We had an extra passenger, Courtney, and lots of luggage and packages. We met Amanda, Preston, Parker and Austin for a dinner stop at the Big Texan. It was great for us, but a bit hard for vegetarian CJ!

Our awesome trip included:
- Low ropes course
- Matching team shirts - thanks for the fun idea Grant!
- Skit night: magic show by Grant, this little light of mine by all of us, ribbon twirling by Maya and Cadie, bubble gum blowing contest hosted by DD and Big John which Mandy won, "My little children" rendition honoring John Lynch, "light house" kiss which totally lite up Jack Ranger.
- Rocket building - the rocket Grant built for Colton went the farthest!
- Group trip to Bishop's Castle
- Hanging out in the mini-lodge where most of us had rooms
- Trip to town and also a hike with my brother and two sisters. Such rare and special moments with my amazing siblings
- Huge zip line - so fun!
- Cadie and Maya haveing a slumber party in the middle lodge
- Lots of time in the sand box

Cadie went home with Nina, Papa and CJ and the boys, Grant and I stopped for the night in Amarillo and visited Cadillac Ranch.

Fixer Upper Fan

Mom and I road tripped down to Waco and spent the day shopping at Magnolia! It was a lovely day with lots of fun purchases. My only sadness was that we had planned to go on Thursday evening and spend the night at the Hotel Indigo. I had a bad headache and so I rested at home on Thursday night and then we drove down first thing on Friday morning. We found out that Chip and Joanna ate dinner in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo the night before! I could have seen them!

Summer with Peyton + Swim Lessons

All three kiddos did 3 weeks of swimming lessons at the UP pool and they showed so much improvement! I was especially impressed because little Colton didn't have enough kids in his original class and so he moved up a class and still did great. The kids have been so busy having fun that Coltito keeps falling asleep on the couch!
