Disney!

John and Dawna Walsh celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this week and so they took the whole family for a Florida vacation! The last day we went on a vacation with all of us it was for the 30th anniversary so it was much overdue. We had a great time and packed in a ton. First Disney, then a cruise, then Universal Studios. I am going to do a few posts about the trip, but here in the basic schedule:

- Thurs., May 19: Grant and Cadie leave for Florida to get a few days in a Disney before being joined by the rest of the family.

- Sat., May 21: The rest of the family flies to Florida (Erin, Jack Ranger, DD, Big John, Whitney (winky), Preston (Pee Wee) and Austin (Ace)).

- Sun., May 22: Depart on Carnival Cruise from Port Canavaral, ports include Freeport and Naussau Bahamas and a fun day at sea.

- Thurs., May 26: Return from cruise and spend a few days at Universal Studios

- Sat., May 28: Everyone flies home

- Sun-Mon.: Thankfully Monday was Memorial Day so we had a few recovery days before heading back to work

These are pictures from Grant and Cadie's time at Disney. It sounds like they had a great time and they went HARD. They arrived late, I think around midnight, on Thursday and since they were staying at a Disney Property, Pop Century (not that great, I wouldn't stay there again), they could do the Magic Hours and so were at Disney for the opening parade! They came home for a brief nap and then went to MGM and then back to Disney World and stayed out to midnight! They saw the fireworks and then had a late pizza dinner before crashing. Then on Saturday morning they went to the Magic hours at Animal Kingdom. Cadie's favorite ride was the jungle cruise and they rode it twice. She didn't like the rides or shows with a lot of darkness.

The rest of us arrived at around 2pm and had a late lunch and then I took the kids back for naps and Grant hit Epcot and MGM with his Dad and Preston. I think Grant and Cadie had a good time together and it was a great start to the vacation.
