My Mom had the best idea for my 48th birthday present! She and my Dad funded and coordinated a weekend visit in Dallas with Lindsay Piguet and Sherry Rink. They arrived Friday evening and headed back to Kansas City on Sunday after church. We packed so much into our weekend including a trip to the Arboretum, dinner at Rise where Cadie joined us, church on Sunday, lunch at our house, and so much time laughing, catching up and reminiscing.
We had the most wonderful time together. It was easy, calm, grounding, and special. There is nothing quite like being with people you have known your entire life. Especially when those people are thoughtful, caring, and fun. Lindsay and Sherry even brought birthday gifts! My favorites were a special geode light from Lindsay's son and a video that Larry put together of pictures of us as kids.
Thank you Sherry and Lindsay for making time for a weekend to remember! Thank you Mom and Dad for a birthday present that was so meaningful. I love you!
