Colton: What I love best at 4 months

This chunky guy loves sleeping in mom and dad's bed, grabbing anything he can get his hands on including sister's hair and his own feet, and watching brother play. His typical schedule is:
- 7:30am: Wake up for the day! Generally wakes up in mom and dad's bed and we enjoy snuggling together and wait in bed until one of the older kids comes in and then we get up for breakfast.
- 8:00am: Colton plays in his jump-a-roo while mom/Sarah fixes breakfast.
- 10:00ish: Down for a morning nap. He generally starts to get fussy and we lay him in his bed, cover him with a blanket, turn on the mobile and he falls asleep
- 11:30am: Wake up from nap and join big sister and brother for lunch. He enjoys sitting in his high chair while they eat. Cadie and Ranger entertain him with songs and silliness.
- 3:00pm: Down for an afternoon nap
- 5:00pm: Wake up from nap and hopefully mom gets home soon! Colton is usually ready to nurse when I get home and I am bursting to feed him
- 8:00pm: I carry Colton around as I read stories to the big kids and put them to bed. He sits on my lap as I lay in the bed with the older kids and sing songs and say prayers.
- 9:30pm: One last nurse and then to bed for the night
- Sometime between 1-4am: Wake up and mom gets me from my bed and I nurse and snuggle with mom in mom and dad's bed until the morning.

Trip to Houston

While I very much wished it was for another reason, Colton and I took a roadtrip to Houston for the funeral and Memorial Service for Rob Moore. I had very much wanted to be there for my cousin Lindsey Moore-Webdell, to represent my parents who weren't able to attend due to my Dad's knee replacement surgery and to see members of my family I don't get to see often.

Colton did a great job on the trip and the time wasn't all that painful. We stayed with Lindsey Coffman and it was a treat to introduce her to Colton for the first time and to get to catch up with her. I was so thankful to see family members and to be there for the amazing service for Rob. He was an incredible man. I was especially thankful that I was there to hear Lindsey's eulogy for her father.

Pi Phi Santa Claus

Walsh Family Thanksgiving

We had a lovely day at DD and Big John's. Grant and I brought the mashed potatoes and it was a team effort. I did the peeling and he mashed and added the secret ingredients. The day included delicious food, yummy cake balls made by Lauren and Shannon, nap time for me and the boys (all together in one of the upstairs bedrooms), football, turkey hats and family. It was a day full of thankfulness.

So tired

Last Sunday we didn't realize how tired Colton was after church until we noticed he was a bit too quiet.

White Rock Skate

Time warp! Grant started going to White Rock Skate when he was about 10 and I hear it hasn't changed a bit in the last 25 years. We had a great time at Emily Stephen's (our neighbor) birthday party. Cadie and Jack Ranger only went around the rink once each - but you gotta start somewhere!

Holiday in the Park

We have a tradition of going to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags and this year Amanda Mooney (Preston's girlfriend) and Aunt Winky joined us to brave the cold. We bundled up, binged on hot chocolate, went down the sledding hill and the adults wrapped up the night riding the Texas Screamer swings right before the park closed. I really was screaming and the icy air was blasting our cheeks. Amanda and I rode together and we were both a scared - those swings are HIGH!
