The first week in August all of the grandkids of Ron and Nicki Gullickson got together for their second annual Cousin Camp at Lake Keowee, South Carolina.
Our first stop was at Funopolis in Commerce , GA. It was a blast ! We had about 15 go kart runs( Nina was the clearly the fastest) laser tag(Ranger was a sharp shooter ) climbing wall, mini golf , video games and really bad pizza. But when you’re hungry ?Of course this was followed by a trip to Wendy’s for more food.
Lake Keowee was very nice. Our house backed up to the lake and had a rope swing (Colton was a wild jumper) , kayaks and inner tubes.
One day was spent on a boat with LOTS of tubing. Everyone loved it. We went to jump off rock, a climbable waterfall and a sandy island in the middle of the lake. At one point Samuel and Ranger did some pretty good tricks on the tube, then the other kids were putting on shows too. The kids were all tired after this day and we all had a little sunburn.( Cadie experienced the worst burn but some Tylenol and aloe helped)
Colton and Josiah had a good time in their room making a whole village with Lincoln Logs. The older boys tried to make an impregnable fort in their room but we managed to storm the fortress. Cadie just tried to keep us all out while she slept,read and talked on the phone.
The kids got to play a bit at the Chapman house when we returned to Athens,GA . Then we had a drive to the Atlanta airport and they were off Dallas so they could fly to Mexico for their next trip.
