It was a dream come true to host my 3 Baylor roommates and their families for Memorial Day weekend.
Anna & Solomon came with their 3 kids (Asa - 15 yrs, Tyler - 13 yrs, Grace - 11 yrs.) for the whole long weekend, Jenny came with her daughter Sophie, and Brooke came on Saturday and went home Sunday afternoon. Jenny and Sophie flew in from Tennessee and they flew home Monday evening.
Everyone got along great and it felt like the roommates just picked up where we left off. The kids had a slumber party on Saturday night in hammocks and tents on the treehouse platform. The weekend included swimming in the late, fireworks by Grant, hauling some brush and burning two big burn piles, smores, blowing up the beaver dam, sequence and telestrations, and lots of grilling. I was able to get away with the girls and Cadie for lunch in Canton at Lathram bakery on Saturday late afternoon which was a special treat.
We hope to make it a tradition and have a loose plan for next Memorial Day weekend!
